My Husband Asked Everyone at the Hospital to Avoid Me—Then I Learned the Secret He Had Hidden for Nearly a Year

I arrived at the hospital carrying lunch for my husband, Ben, expecting an ordinary visit. Instead, his colleague Arnold told me Ben had ordered everyone to keep their distance from me.

Then Arnold handed me a sealed envelope. Three words were written across it: Please forgive me.
