Michael Landon Knew the End Was Near—But What He Said to His Wife and Children in His Final Moments Was So Simple, Yet So Powerful, It Still Breaks Hearts Today

Michael Landon spent more than three decades becoming one of television’s most recognizable and beloved stars. His performances in Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie made him a familiar face to millions, but away from the cameras, his family remained at the center of his life.

His relationship with Cindy began after they met on the set of Little House on the Prairie. Cindy was working as a young extra when she first encountered Michael, and she later described being immediately struck by his presence and personality.
